Exactly...kinda like that crazy ass woman who tried to get Jerome Bettis last year and they found out it was a planned deal to get her paid. It's very unfortunate that the woman who really are raped have a tough time getting justice because of gold digging women like this. They make it that much harder for the REAL rape victims to be heard.

The only reason people think he's innocent is because he's a good ball player. Don't fool yourself. Had he been a second rate NBA player, he'd be sitting in jail by now.
She obviously filed the civil suit when it became clear this would never come to trial and that her name would be dragged through the mud.
My opinion is not in any way based on his ball playing abilities. I've seen tons of programs on him and his past and things of that nature and he's always seemed like a respectful well mannered individual. Granted, he's gotten a bit big headed in the last few years but I just don't see him being a rapist.
And since you tossed the "what if" out there let's say it was a white ball player...let's say it was...Luke Walton. I would venture to say that if it was Walton in Kobe's shoes there would be a lot less people thinking he was guilty. Not trying to sound like Antonio with the racist conspiracy theory stuff but I think you know this would be true.
The evidence and things that came out since this went down indicate to me (and a whole lot of others) that this girls was just a wild type. The whole thing about her bragging abo Kobe's penis size to her friends after it happened and a lot of other things of that nature just make it seem highly unlikely to me that it was a rape case.
Of course, that's just my opinion but obviously there was some serious lack in evidence if it didn't even make it to trial which typical with DNA and modern methods shouldn't have been a problem if he actually did rape her.
It was all a conspiracy. The truth will come out eventually and Kobe will pay.

lol @ pack. the only conspiracy here was the prosecution trying to make it look like her chastity belt wasn't already in a million pieces before she crossed kobe's path.
this slut already got some of what she wanted (kobe's bratwurst) and now she's gonna get paid for it like the hooker she is.
he should've just hit her off with a couple franklins afterwards and there never would've been a case.
personally i still think he's a dumbass and deserves every second of embarrassment he has to deal with for the rest of his life.

no i don't agree with your soap box ass..umption that race or playing ability matters here. i'm lost as to why you think it's relevant. the only thing that matters here is that kobe can afford lawyers good enough to bring the truth/facts to the table and the defense has an accuser that can't tell her story with a straight face when on the stand. why are you so convinced kobe's guilty? is it because he's a black guy who's good at basketball, and she's white?

so i take it you're buying her story that she slipped and her mouth just happened to land on kobe's plank. i don't know pack..that's a hard sell but if you buy that story then i have a couple contour plastic impellers to sell you...they're good for the life of your car.
