Luckily I have a 4 cyl. there are a lot less wires to deal with under the hood. Also you don't have to remove the intake man to get to the injectors. I pulled the front section of the harnes that connects to the fan, battery and a few other things. It was shot to hell. I taped all the exposed wires i could get to just trying to give myself a chance to eliminate possibilities.
It looks like on the 4 banger that the only wires really affected are the ones right in front of the exhaust man. The rest looked pretty damn good. Thanks to Ford you can't get just the front you have to get the entire set up.
The other is that I do have an idle and over heating issue. Also, I just put a new battery in because the other only lasted a few days and then I would have to jump it. I found that the after market sterio was hard wired to the battery and didn't shut off (nice job whoever did that). BUT, I haven't had time to see if the battery is still an issue, though the wires where in really bad shape.
I'm sure if I try it myself it will take some time. I will take many pictures to help others with this.
For now I am trying to find a better price if that is possible.
