Well I have been plagued by my intermittant no start problrm again this week. I am going to replace the crank position sensor tomorrow to hopefully solve this. It is so hard to test for this fault because one second it won't start and then it will. Has anyone replaced this sensor in the past? Is it easily accessed from the passenger wheel well? If not how is it accessed?

I changed mine from the top, just used a small 1/4" ratchet and no problems.

I replaced the crank shaft sensor today and let me tell you what a PITA it is. It looks easy enough to do but once you get your hands in there there's no room. My arms are scratched to hell . Anyway the work is done and the car started both times since the install so only time will tell.

I know how you feel. I'm starting my 11th month without my misfire. Problem began Feb03, solved Dec03, Now Oct04 and still going, like the energizer bunny!

Another update. I was reminded of this by another post in the Forum. 3+ months now without a problem.

I posted in another thread about my starter woes and I'm onmy third in a week or so now... bastards. The starter works 9 out of 10 times and the rest I pray I'm in a goos spot and can find some help to bump start. So perhaps it is the same sensor no?
