After a search, I still have a few questions.
Is the stock rist pin a floating design?
What size are the rod bolts?
Is there any insurance to be had by grinding off the parting line, and polishing the beams on these "sinter forged" sp? rods?
What about shot peening them? Are they not as prone to stress risers due to there manufacturing process?
I know no matter what you do they will never equal custom rods, but after 3.0 parts
and forged pistons, quaife etc. I'm looking to keep costs down where I can. $200.00 to prep 6 rods isn't sounding too bad if it will help. Any thoughts? Uproarious laughter? Talk to me...
