W/A is IIRC 14:1 heat transfer verses 1:1 for A/A - I dont follow your logic.
as long as the water is below charge temp it will have its 14:1 cooling capacity in the IC. Ice would certainly increase the heat removal efficiency but is not needed.
Right, but I do not beleive thats usualy the case. Especialy in the summer months. Well placed fmic for good air flow with minimal pressure loss and properly sized would be optimal for street/road race. Drag race, bring on the water and ice.
so your telling me that for a tour a radiator is not usually heat transfer effecient unless at a drag strip??? because that is what a W/A intercooler uses to cool its charge ( and then another to cool the water), and unless you got a bad case of plastic impeller your radiator does a marvelous job cooling the engine. If you cant see where im going with this then never mind.
having said that - my MSP has an A/A "Fmic" and it works well enough, but in its stock location could benefit from better air/flow, also something to think about when comparing the 2. the tour aint got much space
