As long as you're going for engineering and not elementary English education you'll be fine. You may not place periods in all of your sentences, but man is your grammar all over the board!

But as Rara and Stazi both explained, the R&D has already been done for these turbo kits. A lot of people think $5k is a lot of money, and yes it is a large chunk of change, but not for what you are getting with the ADC kit. There's been talk from several members on here, trying to make a cheaper kit. Yes it's possible, yes it's been done, but to what efficiency I really can't comment on. PM BlackwidowSVTT, Warmonger, or Stilov on what all they fabbed up themselves and get ideas on what you can improve on. I'm always up for seeing everyone else's renditions of a Turbo Tour.

Honestly, what are you, 15 yrs. old? Stazi is right in every angle of the picture here. If you can point out the potential business, I'm sure Stazi could whip one up himself, but the truth is, there's not enough potential business. We have about 10 people here that would love to have a cheaper turbo kit....Hang on, let me rephrase this...we have over half the board that would be "interested", but only a handful that would actually back it up with cash. CEG is a lot of talk and even less money. These are Contours for christ sake, are you not seeing the big picture here? The only reason 90% of these kids have these cars are because they're cheap. That's reality.

My mistake if he wasn't taking about a turbo and FMIC.

I never said that the kid had the best idea, hell, I never even said that his ideas were good ideas. All I was saying is that you can't tear him apart for having ideas. Maybe I used ridiculous comparasions for my point, but hopefully I am actually making a point. Different people approach situations differently. I am not here to debate whether or not a Contour is worth putting money into, I am not about to argue one way or the other on whether the kid can actually make a better kit for less, for that matter I don't really care if anyone makes a turbo kit for these cars, I am here to remind everyone that this is a place for the sharing of information and ideas, and although we may not like the ideas of others, that does not give us cause to insult and attack the integrity of the person(s) with the idea(s).

When I talked to Chris about intercooler ideas (Keyser) he didn't tell me you can't do the front mount, just that they didn't b/c of the headache it would be...they wanted a kit they people could actually install. There is a zetec guy with a frount mount...I think it can be done, but yes at the expense of many other things as Demon pointed out.

zetecs have a lot more room to work with than us. . .not a lot more, but i'd like to see the FMIC on a zetec, who's ride is it?

i have no idea what everyone's obsession with an FMIC is anyways, the Air to Water on the ADC kit is extremely efficient and you don't have to worry about all the extra piping or boost lag. . .i swear it must be a fast and furious thing to have huge FMIC's as some measure of your car's worth. . .

It's on a Cougar.

They have a longer front clip then we do and it still was a tight fit.

Seawulf put a StarQuest FMIC on his car. Best choice for a factory FMIC. Large, high density fins, with fairly low pressure drop. (ex-StarQuest owner here )

Yes, I had a Starion IC on my Eclipse GSX it was cheap yet VERY effective.

The reason why the air-to-air is not possible without a major buttload of work, on an SVT (the car used to base the kit off)is the width of the radiator on the SVT. it simply TAKES UP THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE FRONT OPENING minus the A/C condesner. If you want to ditch A/C you could do it with a AUDI or SAAB style air-to-air I/C that has the inlet and outlet on the same side, on eabove the other, such the the air flows in a U shape across the I/C and back again.

Now I request that the ignorant shut up and stop talking crap they don'thave any idea about!

Cool!!!

That looks like a very clean install as well. Any more pics?

However you can see what I mean about blocking the majority of the airflow to the radiator.

Ya that is pretty cool. But is it real hooked up to something? I prefer air/air coolers for street/road race setup. They can be made much more efficient than any w/a for those applications. But you can only do so much with our platforms.
