Which one is better to get for the CSVT??? Or which one is cheaper??? And is there a why to get a knock-off charger...Like not exactly a super or turbo charger just a kit that does the same thing that is cheap???

Someone needs to post that smiley face bashing his head into a wall for me on this one....

Dude, did you even look around the slightest bit before you posted? I'm not trying to sound like an ass to you, but this question has been answered very fully at least 300 times.

Turbo's tend to be more expensive, but also tend to be more effecient.

Turbo's have lag caused by the need for exhaust air to run it, so the addition of power is initially delayed during acceleration. This can benefit a FWD car since it is more difficult to maintain traction under had acceleration.

Superchargers run off the engine's belt, so the boost is always present. However, since the supercharger is powered by the rotation of the crank, a portion of the power gained is lost due to the additional resistence the motor must over come to drive the supercharger.

There are many pros and cons for either setup, but if I were going to add either, on I would opt for a turbo w/ an intercooler and adjustable wastegate. Along with a programable chip and MAF, high lb. injectors... etc...

Heres a comparison that demonsvt did comparing the ADC turbo kit and Vortech. ADC kit is $5000. Below is a list of things that needed to be added to the Vortech or are not included like they are with the turbo kit.

"No chip or tuning. $500 or more
No fuel upgrades $200-400 (injectors and pump)

Now it's $4500 vs $5000

No shaft support bearing ($300-500)

Now it's 5k vs 5k just to make the kit usable and maybe a little more reliable then it's 100% failure rate.

No intercooler. $1350+

Now it's $6350+ vs $5000

No headers. $650

Now it's 7k vs 5k...

...and guess what...

Still makes substancially less power across the board.

Still out run by a NA 3L.

Vorcrap is Vorcrap regardless of now selling less kit for more money."

I would say this is more so true for a roots style setup, and is going to make that low end tq compared to the centrifugal that the contour uses which you have to wind out to redline to see full boost. Btw, for the newb, the ADC kit makes full boost at 2800 rpm's with the T-28 kit. Youll definetely feel a kick in the pants.

Not entirely true. This is not true with Centrifugal type superchargers. i.e. Vortech They have to spin to a certain RPM before any PSI is produced. A positive displacement supercharger, i.e. Kenne Bell or Eaton have instant boost. Positive displacement superchargers will not produce boost when your trying to keep a steady speed, regardless of the RPM.

17 years old. Get a job, then come back when you have enough money to afford the things you ask about OVER AND OVER AND OVER!! Or you could buy a lifetime's supply of resistor's off of Ebay.
