so here is my latest problem with my 2000 silver frost tour! i got the two kids in the back, i just got done spending 2 hours detailing the interior, and washing the car up........ i back out of my driveway, put it in 1st, pull away, and the car starts jumping and lugging around as if i didnt know how to drive stick. oh yeah, and it dies!!! so i start it back up, and pull away, only getting into 2nd gear this time, and it does the damn thing! now im in the middle of the road that i live on, about three houses down, and traffic is all on my A$S......... i got the car turned around as traffic cleared, and now its back in the driveway, completely boggling my mind!!! it seems like it may be lack of fuel, but it only occures i believe after the clutch is completely out! i had the dealer put a new clutch in about 10,000 miles ago, due to error of the last moron who owned the car......... i hope to god it isnt that again! not to mention, i just sold my daily driver grand am yesterday!!! any help appreciated..... you can email me directly at nbgstifler@hotmail.com. thanks

This might sound stupid but have you wash you engine bay? Cuz that might be the problem. Water go into connectors and contacts goes bad. It's an idea.

Would that cause the car to die though? Is it dying BEFORE you get into gear or right after? If its before, it could be an idle problem (read: 50 million things cause idle problems). Like, right when you push the clutch pedal in, the do the car's RPMs drop way the hell down and then it stalls?

i looked at it a little further last night! it dies with it in gear....clutch in or out! basically when im moving forward. i had it at like 5000rpms and it still just died! i did find a distinctive rough idle last night too! my buddy is bringing the snap on scanner over 2 morrow, so hopefully its just a $HIT sending unit or fuel pump..... or hopefully my filter is clogin up. after it dies, you DO HAVE to shut the ignition all the way off in order for it to restart! if you dont switch it to off first, it will just crank, and not start! any hints there??? thanks guys!

ok, i know tomorrow ill have the exact issue to go off of better, but i appreciate all your help..... i will keep you posted, and hopefully this can help others in the future! my car is a 2000, and only has 41,??? on the clock........ but my fuel pump isnt really making a whle lot of noise, and the circut breaker is fine, along with all the fuses! not to mention that the car does start and idle fine today.....as far as it being the clutch, not an option i dont think. seeing that it doesnt do it in reverse..... but the having to shut the ignition all the way off to be able to restart it shows signs of electrical. as far as the car not idling that great yesterday, i have taken my pro flo off to do tests on the computer, thinking it may have been that..........so i believe my computer was just trying to relearn idle for factory mass air! thanks again, and ill be posting!

10 codes!!!!!!! all sorts of wonderful things wrong. im assuming that majority of them were because of the Superchip, but im gonna do a fuel pressure test........ still leaning that this is the problem! i also erased the codes, so we are gonna take a few short drives to see what we can further dig up!
