does anyone have this book...the cam lobe profiles could be a good starting point for a set of custom cams.. i will be interested to here what Terry has to say on this subject....

This a different engine than our beloved 2.5 V6 I believe so the modifications will differ.

Edit- I see the difference is that the displacement is changed. The stroke went from 79.5mm to 62.4mm. Not sure how the mods would differ now.

The engines changed stroke to meet class guidelines and to enable stratospheric RPM heights. Common practices amoung racing engines. This is a 2.0L based on the production 2.5 Duratec from the Mondeo. Very good find...

I'll be the first to rate you I have to give you props for finding that document (though it is 3 years old :D) I haven't had the oppurtunity to read through it yet though (dang work!!! :D) but i am looking forward to it. Additionally, the March 2001 issue of Racecar Engineering has a GREAT article on the Supertouring Mondeos prepared by Prodrive. I have a copy of it right now (I stole it from silver snake :D) but as soon as either of us has time, we will scan it in and post the entire article for the reading pleasure of the board.

Have info on this motor and a Cosworth V6 that was also used in UK in Mondeo,Nigel Mansel I think, I'll 'dig' in the bookshelf/attic,sure I have some 'bumf'.

What, No discussion of this document? I would think it would spark all kinds of discussion on this board! You certainly can not argue about the credintals of the people involved with the testing. Surely someone has something to say. What do you think?
