put 310 miles on yesterday most of it freeway...drove down to orange co. to see mom and hang out with some friends...my car drove wonderfully all the way and even better coming back home last nite

i treated it to a bottle of gumout regane, mobil 1 atf and mobil 0-30 oil before driving back home last nite and it was sooooooo happy...the mobil oil looked so thin that i was half expecting to see it run out as i was putting it in

the drive home takes an hour and a half and i have to drive all the way thru l.a. and then uphill thru some nice twisties (99 miles)

my baby rolled up its sleeves and got to it without breaking a sweat

i can only imagine what an svt must feel like

95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!!
are my dodgers for real????

I'll second that...
I just got back from 120 miles drivin my dad's brand new Windstar. Felt like drivin a bucket; nothing like my Tour! But I needed the storage room, so I borrowed it. Ain't our 95 SE's sweet! wink

I couldn't agree more. I bought an 87' Mustang GT a while back and it was bone stock. Over the years, I have completely dumped prety much all of my money, time, and everything else into that car making it an absolute beast (see sig. for details).

Back in 95... one of my buddies got a Contour SE V6 5-Speed (before I had the Stang) and I absolutely fell in love with that car. I almost ended up with one instead of the Stang. Glad I didn't though, because now I have both! laugh I have a 98' SE V6 5-Speed that I absolutely love! It is one of the only other cars that I truely enjoy to drive even compared to most other higher dollar sports cars.

I am really glad that I got the Tour'... only problem is that I have a MAJOR bite from the performance bug, and I sometimes wish that I didn't have a car that I could play with so much  So far, I've had the car for a week and I have done ALL kinds of stuff from fixes, tricks, exhaust, shifter... all of the fun stuff... I don't need another car to sink my money into!!

I love that car though... a true joy to drive, let me tell you. VERY underrated car.

Some have called it the "original SVT". I don't own one but have driven one and I couldn't tell the difference ... but now that I've upgraded the suspension on the SVT it's just moved up another notch on the fun factor scale. I've driven an '00 Nissan Maxima and a WRX and none of those gave me the OVERALL pleasure and sensation my car does. And you know what, with every mod I do, I like the car better ... I'm LOVIN' this car and keepin' it as long as I can. There may be quicker cars out there and on the way, but the whole package just makes me do this laugh soo often.
