After a good rain yesterday I noticed that my trunk floor was all wet. Does anyone have a clue how it got soaked? I don't notice anything out of the ordinary. It is getting near the seatbacks and the passenger side of the trunk.

Any input of where to look for a leak would be appreciated.

Numerous possible locations here. If the water came in while you were driving, than I would say it was the two cabin air vents that vent from the trunk to the ouside. They are behind the carpetin on the side walls of the trunk, a little way down. Ford used foam gaskets, whiuch crap out very easily. Remove, clean, reseal.

Anothger place is through the tail light housing. It's the same type of deal, cheap gasket. I pulled the housing, cleaned it all up, and laid down some silicone to seal things up. Then I reinstalled the light housing and have no more leaks. Good luck!

Well, I guess I should be more specfic, the wet area is around the spare tire area all the way to the rear passenger seat.

It is raining now and I sat in the car looking for water but I dont see any coming in. Man this is a weird problem. Makes the car smell a bit too... yuck.

It can also be the rubber trunk seal, and in some cases the seal around the rear window can leak causing water to accumulate in the trunk.
