I'd go black and silver, but that's just me. When it's time, and when I have the money, years from now, I'll be either doing a black repaint, or black and metallic silver/gray.

EDIT: I take that back, but it is a funny coincidence.

Stick with the black paint, but lay a few layers of clear coat on it with a blue tint. Shadowed areas will appear black and areas under direct lighting will shine blue. Sections of the car under amient light will carry varring shades of blues...

Did the self-fabricated shift knob and console of my old Sunbird like this. Absolutely loved the effect.

I jacked this photo...

But this 2-tone (you wouldn't have to paint the jambs & it would still look good) w/ a mustang blue or some other slightly darker blue (but bright) would look sweet...use a charcoal pinstripe between the colors It would complete the car w/ the blue interior. Paint your grill & rear chrome black also (or blue ).

What was the blue on the tours? Moonlight or something?

Do you have any photos of how that looks? Like pics of the Sunbird. I wanted to do something like that when i had my black CSVT and always wondered what it would really look like. Maybe even a photochop? And possibly what it would look like on a silver CSVT. Just trying to collect ideas of what i might want to do when i become rich enough to support a small country.

Sorry X, I don't have any pics of the paint work on the Sunbird.... Switched over to the Contour before anyone I knew had a digital camera or a scanner, so I never took any. However, my 'tour is going in this winter for a repaint, and I've been toying with the idea of having the blue clear and sliver base done on it. If it happens I'll be sure to get pics of it.
