Only trouble with that I can see. A friend of mine explained this one to me. Take 2 I4's and put a turbo on one and in this case a blower on the other. Which produces more "usable" power? The one with the turbo. With a turbo you don't have to use the power of the engine to turn over the head unit. Instead all you need is to build up exhaust pressure. This way the only time you'd lose power is when you upshift. I wne to Jackson Racing and read their write up on why a turbo is inefficient.
It's true there is turbo lag down low but once it gets pressure it begins t build power all the way until it reaches it's boost efficiency. Just my opinion on the subject.

Wont it help give us the low end torque we so badly need? With no torque down low AND turbo lag, I think a turbo would just make things worse. That is, until it finally gets revved up. If Im wrong, feel free to smack me!

Just for what it's worth...
I just learned to drive stick on my friend's 1.8T Jetta. It's a 3000lb car with a tiny 1.8L engine. Below 2500rpm, the car feels incredibly weak. But after the turbo spools, it just takes off like a bat outta hell, and you can hardly shift it in time (if you're a beginner, like me). Lots of fun...

The Jackson supercharger is actually a Eaton M90 supercharger. I use one on another of my cars it is great. Yeah you use a little power to drive it, but beleive me you wont miss it! I also own turbo cars which are great also but in all honesty the blower is much more responsive.

ah- but thats only if you dont like the ON-OFF nature of a turbo - some do. for power that is seamless and just feels like a bigger more powerful motor go super charger- if you want max efficiancy and max boost / power go turbo- so choose youre style
