You just gotta work on your launching. My friend runs a flat 9 in the 1/8 mile with his, so you can compare that to your time slips. It's his first stick and he was 18 at the time he ran it, so he could definitely do even better than that. Though flat 9 should be good for a high 13/14 flat no problem in the 1/4.
I think the main modification on that car is likely drag slicks, maybe radials. Saw a 300hp+ srt4 run and he could only manage a 13.4 due to no traction (stock tires).
