You just gotta work on your launching. My friend runs a flat 9 in the 1/8 mile with his, so you can compare that to your time slips. It's his first stick and he was 18 at the time he ran it, so he could definitely do even better than that. Though flat 9 should be good for a high 13/14 flat no problem in the 1/4. I think the main modification on that car is likely drag slicks, maybe radials. Saw a 300hp+ srt4 run and he could only manage a 13.4 due to no traction (stock tires).

ob by the way im running a 3 liter, a dmd, gutted pre cats, a stage 3 clutch from spec. intake, and a short shifter. And i ran a low 16 against the srt. My best time was a 15.5 that night! what the hell is wrong with my car? Some people say it was the racing fuel that was slowing me down. Any help?

You'll need to learn how to drive it better first.

thanks for the coaching dion. And what i notice is that a lot of guys with stangs, that run good where running bad like a sec slow SO i think it was the weather that screw us up.

Fuel octane has nothing to do with performance, unless your engine is tuned to run at a particular minimum. Where did you get your chip burned from? They can tell you what octane you should be running. Otherwise you're just pissing money away.

A SVT 2.5L with a good driver can do mid 15's. I even watched a non-SVT with light mods do a 15.3. So, by your theory you have a 2.5L, not a 3L.
What were your R/T's, 60', 1/8, etc? Trap speed? That's what is going to tell you whether its driver error, vehicle, or weather. If you really want some help, post this stuff in the Dyno and Drag forum.
I did a 16.7 on Saturday; mostly because my R/T was unbelievably poor. A fellow CEG'er with a hybrid 3L did a 15.4, and his R/T was about as bad as mine. I'm willing to admit that I'm inexperienced and I suck at launching, plus I'm overly protective of my differential.
