Not sure about those companies, but with the srt4, if the mopar upgrades are proven to cause a problem, then they do void your warranty (for that part that they caused to fail) though mopar sometimes will send out a replacement part anyways if it's something small. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same way for most/all of those companies as well.

hmmm your prolly right but with the mazda speed protege its stock and upgraded. same with stillin 300z, trd cars, and the sti. cant argue with a stock car. im not sure if racing will void but seriously how many times have you heard of ford voiding warranties for a FUN FORD WEEKEND? never in a million years. its a shame that mopar would do that when they support camp jeep or whatever it is. the dealership gave my parents tickers to go romp their brand new cherokee when they got it. maybe its a conspiracy to jack people from there warrantee.

I thought you were talking about upgrades available to add on to cars, not stock cars. Yeah I know they won't void it on like a stock msp or sti. I guess the mopar thing is kinda a different situation.

Chevy has been MORE than cooperative on the Corvette. They've turned a blind eye to a lot of racing done with that platform in recent years.
Then again, a pushrod doesn't fall apart after a few floggings and the transmission in them is built to take one HELL of a beating.
Now, if you are asking about a factory-supported racing department, there's no formally branded "skunk-works" group that I'm aware of in Chevrolet.

pretty soon we are gonna see advertisements that say Zero to 60 in 5 seconds but then in the fineprint If you are able to replicate these acceleration times we will void your warranty

yeah, like with the Sti, you can get a 0-60 in 4.7 if you drop the clutch at 5k+. . .wouldn't be a good idea, and they would void the tranny warranty for sure. . .gotta love it.
