Ryan, thank you again for yours and Alan's help in trying to diagnose the problem. None of the wiring that was disconnected was messed with since you disconnected it. All the wiring with the S-AFC was not tampered with, merely inspected, everything seemed to be in order there. I went into the settings of the S-AFC and went to Initialize, which resets the AFC to it's default settings, and reset everything. After that, it started right up, finally giving me an airflow reading, which I had not had before. I then put the original chip back into the ECU and hooked up the switch. I started the car with the switch in the neutral position and it started right up. Before, as you may recall, it would not start with the switch in any other position than the "cold" programming. I shut it off and then restarted it, to make sure it was not just a fluke that it was working. I then test drove it around the block to continue to reasure myself that it was running correctly. After I was sure everything was working correctly, I took it for a longer drive, about an hour, and had absolutely no problems. It has been starting right up without incident ever since. I don't know why it would have lost that sensor reading, but reseting it cured it's ailment. Thank you again to both you and Alan. I greatly appreciate you both coming all the way down here to help me with the car.
