Ok, about a week ago, the car started to buck/hesitate/backfire or something to that effect. It's hard to describe, it would start doing it under heavy throttle between 3000 and 6000 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear. But it does not do it in the other gears and only does it when u really get the throttle into it and have a load on it. I checked all the spark plugs, as advised by Alan(wavrdr) and Chris at ADC. Everything seems fine there, they think it's spark blowout. Alan also told me to advance the fuel curve on the AFC, which i did to his specifications, nothing more, nothing less. Everything seemed to be running fine and back to normal. I went to dinner with my family last night and came out to start the car and it would not start. The starter would engage, the fuel pump was running, it would turn over, but it would not start. It was pushing grey smoke out the tailpipes. It would act like it was going to start and the tach needle would move, but it would not start. We were unsucessful in starting it and had it towed back to my house, where it is now sitting in the driveway. Any advice on what could be wrong or can be done to at least get it started and to the shop. I have called Alan and asked, if he has to time, if he'd come down and take a look at it. Any advice/knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

BTW it's a 2000 CSVT with the ADC Turbo kit, S-AFC controller, DiabloSport Flip Chip, ect. http://www.cardomain.com/id/xxcoldazfirexx has more details into what is on the car. It used to be Alan's.

i do have an oil pressure gauge. and i pray to god that it is not something that severe and it's only something stupid that i'm over looking. I don't have a lot of money to spend. Alan is coming down tonight to take a look at it and see if he can do anything to help me out. I'm hoping he has the magic touch.

oil pressure was normal while the car had that problem. And yes, the smoke does look like that, exactly, like that.

Chips do not suddenly stop working unless you unplug them with the key on. Check your fuses under the hood.

...or become loose.

It is taped on right?

Disconnect the battery.

Pull both PCM fuses. Check them.

Then turn the key on and step on the brakes for 10 seconds.

Turn the key off and remove it.

Then pull the chip, inspect the pins, and re-attach chip. Tape it on.

Put the fuses back in.

Connect the battery.

Try to start it.

Yeah, definitely check the chip. I have a friend that forgets nearly every time he rides with me about the chip and he doesn't sit right or still and kicks the damn thing loose and pisses me off. I think I'm gonna tape it on there really good tonight.
