You missed out one term I used WHEN YOU ASKED ME ABOUT IT Mark, 'load bearing member', as I pointed out the layers/lamination of steel in that area along with the corrigated 'crush' area of the chassis rail on your car ! with the front subrame mout about an inch away from that bloody great hole in the frame rail....speed on brothers ....hell isn't full yet !

So you're locking up your info because Mark didn't give you credit about not cutting into load bearing frame rail? Please, don't make the rest of us suffer. :(Are you guys having a spat? Sorry if I'm overreacting, but I didn't see one smiley face in any of Terry's posts to know if he's kidding or not...

From what I remember, Terry mentioned that the Profile car had a big hole cut into the frame/rail under the battery location. He posted this info a while back. If this is the only way to get cold/cool air without an intercooler, then so be it. I agree, that this is crazy. I would have spent a little money and got a water/air IC, then pipe the water to the trunk to a cooler where ice can be placed. Terry, are you okay?

Also, for those of you that don't want to deal with Vortech's "customer service" wait just a few months for the turbo kit.

That is what I originally thought until Terry showed me some exploded views of the front end. Turns out you have to go around the frame rail and down just forward of the stock silencer. My original intentions were to cut out a circular hole in the side and run tubing from a reducer off of the SC into the bumper where the MAF & filter would be mounted, After looking at the exploded views and inspecting the car in the driveway the consensus was to try a different way. -Mark
