Doesn't really matter which of the entire Saturn line you choose, none of them have a lot of potential, nor would the be considered eye candy by any means. My mom drives a Saturn and I have no clue what model, engine size, weight it is. I just remember hanging my head when she told me she bought it.
Perhaps, then, I am not typical of 'most' car enthusiasts...I guess I've been shooting for a higher standard by assimilating a broad range of car-related facts, figures, and technical highlights for some odd 14 or 15 years now.
The fact that when the slushboxed-only Saturn LS2/LS300 first came out it could almost touch the straight line performance of the SVT-C even with its relatively untapped, untuned 3.0 Litre V6 tells me that there is some potential there and worth at least one raised eyebrow, even if the looks could get only a Frigidair to breathing heavy.
It's not that I really care about it so much as I just like to know about things like that. . But, hey, suit yourself...I suppose a broad knowledge base is a lost cause these days.
