Hey Everyone! After taking the summer off we are ready to get back to Open Track days at Willow Springs. Our first one is September 17th (Friday) at the Streets of Willow. Cost will be $100 for the day. We have one Open Track day at Streets of Willow each month this fall/winter...all on Fridays. We are working on our 2005 schedule, and it is shaping up to be a very good year next year for track selection and weekend dates. For more infor on our events and to register/pay for the track day go to: www.RedlineTrackEvents.comHappy Motoring! Nikolas

Go do it!
It's well worth it!
And Nik hosts a damn good event.
I'd go but my car is falling apart, and I got more into racing motorcycles now.
And I say this everytime I see an event. Someone's gotta believe me some time.

Jason! Long time no see man. We need to get you back down here to one of our events sometime.
Next year we should be running at least one weekend event at Buttonwillow, which is about 1.5 hours closer to you. You have to make it down to that event.
SVT Contour owners will be surprised (if they have never been on a road course with the car before) at how well the car handles itself compared to other makes and models. All you need is a set of some sticky tires and the car will do pretty well.

Yeah, you definetly need good tires,I was cheap and brought some crappy dayton tires and was done in just 3 runs But had a great time doing it.

If you really get into open track days, the best thing to do is buy a set of rims and tires that are used only at the track. It is inexpensive to pick up a set of OEM rims.. A set of tires will set you back $500-$600 depending on what brand you go with. The Toyo RA-1 is a great R Compound tire and the Kumho Ecsta MX is a very sticky street tire.

It's really not that far. Like an hour east of the grapeving - or something like that. But it's well worth it. Do the Buttonwillow track - it's a helluva lot closer. But if you want to race at Sears Point it'll cost a lot more, that's an expensive track. And Nik lives in So Cal, so that's why he doesn't do Thunderhill. Or so I imagine. But do the damned trackday! -Jason

We may do a track day up in Reno, NV. Thunderhill is proving to be very expensive, forcing us to charge about $200/day to our customers.
We will come up there eventually, that is a certainty. We may even schedule an event for late 2005 once next year starts rolling.
Our long term plans are to expand to NorCal and have just as strong of a presence as we do in SoCal.
