The lemon law(at least in Texas) says that if your are the original purchaser of a new vehicle and have had the same problem repaired 3 times in 12 months, then the dealership will be required to take back the vehicle and give you a "comparable" vehicle. My friend bought a new Ford Explorer whose sunroof continued to leak after 3 repairs and they took it back and gave her a Mercury Mountaineer.
