putting a smaller pulley on isn't because of the boost levels ( the bypass opens at 10psi regardless of pulley size)... The reason is that 2ft long jack shaft which is junk! Vortech's moron engineers under-engineered the drive system on the Tour's SC assembly, basically the faster it spins the more the shaft bows... They are supposedly re-engineering the drive setup, but my feeling is it won't be much better then the original piece... and owners like myself are stuck paying $600 for the new shaft assembly. Vortech obviously isn't going to lift a finger to recall the original pieces, but I shouldn't be surprised because that falls right inline with their customer service.
ok, Rant off...

Mark i second you on Vortechs customer service......I've dealt with them for many weeks.....no help at all.....i have to pay FOR EVERYTHING, including shipping back and forth on parts.....im pretty surprised, i figured you spend 3500 on THEIR system, and they would at least show some good customer service..its not like we spent 100 on a part from them

Guy's doesnt suprise me in the least about Vortech's customer service. I mean after all they already have your MONEY dont they? When I got my car and heard about the supercharger I thought I wanted one, That is until I saw it. What a piece of **** engineering that is. It takes extemely large nads to ask $3500 for that!

am I the only one that is a little bit curious at what a power pipe for a contour looks like?

I bet it looks really similar to one for an '83 vette. or a '00 Cobra convertible.

It's all about balance.

I have a couple ideas on what it looks like, but I want to know who he is referring to before I say anything or post pics.

is this the "Power Pipe?" If so then let me point something out... THE PERSON WHO DID THIS IS A COMPLETE FREAKING MORON!!!
I don't think I need to point out that he cut through a "frame rail" and crush zone, can we say loss of structural integrity folks?

I am sorry, but some people really come up with some stupid ways to make more power.
