OK I'm sure everyone knows by now I bought another CSVT.
It's a 98 EO with a bad motor...well it runs but it sounds like a lifter is smacking a piston I started disassembly to remove the motor.

Thats where the questions start for me.
1. Should I rebuild the motor and put it back in the car if thats possible.
2. Put the motor out of my E1 in the EO car
3. Buy an escape motor and do a full oval port motor with SVT cams for the EO?
I'm kinda at a crossroads right now but the big decision will come when I get the motor torn apart and see how bad it really is. Just looking for some other peoples input Just want to make sure I'm not going nutz about some of my ideas

keep it cheap(er) and just throw in a stock 3L motor.... Spend the rest of the money on a LSD and built trans...

if i were you (and right now i wish i was) i'ld do number 3.

but since i'm not you, i say you do number 2, and hook me up fat with some engine parts off that E0 .

Ok, what I want you to do is take the motor out of your E1 and put it in the E0, then sell the E1 carcass to me for real cheap What you should really do, though, is get a 3L.

Either way, let me know if I can be of any help.

yeah the 3L route would be nice, but I'm not to excited about the chip burning process. Hopefully the motor is fixable...if not I guess I'll drop in the E1 motor and go form there.


On a side note I started going through all the reciepts the guy gave me. There where a lot of little annoying recalls on the car. The rear brakes where allrplaced 6 months after he bought the car(calipers.pads rotors brake cables) And the repair bills for replacing the lower control arms and the water pump $1500++ Good lord I feel sick just reading those bills. I got the original window sticker with the car and even his finance paperwork

i dont know youe reservations about having a chip burned... my first revision is pretty damn good... no CEL or anything.
