I don't like having the fate of my car especially the motor in the hands of a stranger...no matter how talented they are. I guess it's hard for me to trust people with all the ignorance around these days.

Oh and that is not a bash on Keyser for all the whiners that will want to turn that around on me

I would do the 3L but if you don't want to do that I can understand you reservations. I would make sure the E1 block is a as strong as you can get it. Perhaps do some other things to the E1 to get more power. Good Luck, and man I wish I had such decisions to make.

The big decision for me is $$$$ I have little to spend now for motor mods etc. My E1 2.5L runs excellent and the tranny is great so far. Thats why I want to just swap them out and drop it into the EO. Then all I have to do is swap the suspension, rear subframes, and decide on brakes.

Do that, and save $$$ for more important stuff like housing and savings account.

On a side note I started going through all the reciepts the guy gave me. There where a lot of little annoying recalls on the car. The rear brakes where allrplaced 6 months after he bought the car(calipers.pads rotors brake cables) And the repair bills for replacing the lower control arms and the water pump $1500++ Good lord I feel sick just reading those bills. I got the original window sticker with the car and even his finance paperwork

Nice, hope I can find a CSVT documented like that!!! IMO I think you should just swap motors if you're worried about the hassle with the 3L. If you want performance results...maybe the 3L is the way to go. Idk, but ov3n's 3L was pretty quick Sat.

The funny thing about all this is 2 weeks ago I bought a new TIG welder$$$$$$
Then I put an offer on a house and it's accepted...I have inspection tomorrow to go to.
Then this CSVT comes up and I can't pass up the deal...especially considering I could finally finish the car and sell it for a nice profit....hopefully.

So all in all it's been all good but I'm fuggin broke hella big time. I close on the house in less then a month and move into a house with no furniture nothing. It's friggin hilarious I have so much crap for the garage and yet I have nothing for the house

But anyways I'll be fixing this svt the cheapest route possible...I already have a bunch of hoses etc to replace on it as is. friggin crap is brittle

As much fun as it would be to do that...It's not very economically sound for me. And I'd rather just buy a MTX zetec car to do that. Like I said before funds are non exsistant now and alot of my stuff is getting sold asap. I have a new project after this motor swap and its a little more involved
