Take the dome light cover off. Then take the whole unit off. There are metal clips that kinda hold the blubs in. Put electircal tape around these, and then repalce the fuse. If those clips are jolted they will short out when they touch the metal in the roof. I had the same symptoms when I changed those bulbs. I took the clips off completely, and it didn't hurt anything. Should be a 7.5 amp fuse, IIRC. Good luck
