It pulls all the heat from the engine. Relative to liquid N2O, it's pretty damn hot in the intake/engine.

Jason's right about the direct port injection. The other reason that would be much better for our cars, is because our intake is not meant to have fuel running around in it. I would imagine pools of fuel that sit in the runners that evaporate later on. The best way I think N2O should be run on the Duratec is to either have straight-through jets shot down through the upper intake, or side-shot (90 degree spray nozzle) in the lower intake. This would make it more expensive since 6 nozzles are needed, and more complex to make.
Remember Puff? That had a single dry nozzle, and they ran a 100 shot. Kept popping stuff if I remember. Halfshafts?
