Just as a hint. Under the upper intake manifold on the throttle body side, there is a vacuum diagphram that has a rod on it. This controls the secondaries. make note of the rod/cam position when engine is off. start engine and see if rod and cam move. When car is started vacuum is pulled to close the secondaries. If the rod or cam does not move you may have a deffective irmc valve or solenoid......
