I know this is stupid, but in a way I want to make a sad attempt at it.

Well, here's some background. I have a 98 Mystique that I have had almost two years. Unfortunately it has undergone a lot of vandelism by immature punk kids. Then it went through a phase where I just was sick of it because it looked poorly after the vandelism so I just drove the hell out of it, let other people drive it who probably shouldn't even be driving cars anyway, etc... Then I wanted to fix it all up but with a family/finacial crisis never had the money or time. But I recently just paid it off in full and a new love have been brought upon it since I am able to get another loan.

Some point along the line I have became quite fond of the new Saab 9-3s but don't want to leave the whole Mystique/Contour scene because it has been my dream since like 99 to have an SVT. But I really do like these damn Saabs! They drive nice and are noticably quicker than my car though (but my car has more power lose than you could ever imagine)! Locally I have found a 2004 Saab that had been in an accident and was curious if I had the time and went about it smart and didn't get impatient if I could put the 2L Turbo, the tranny, driveline, etc in the Mystique. I know it's incrediably stupid idea and kind of lame because who puts an engine from a GM product into a Ford? An idiot kid like me. But nobody would ever know or need to know except for me and the poor souls who had to read my unbearable nonsense.

Well, give me your personal opinions on my idea (aka help me realize that I am more of an idiot than I realized)!

PS
Sorry there are probably about 10 million typos because i am tired and too lazy to proof read it!

It'd probably be cheaper and definitely easier just to do a 3L turbo setup for the Mystique. You'd have a job trying to get things to fit where they don't want to.

what he said.

Engine swaps into other brands while not easy arnt usually impossable. It would depend a lot of parts compatability and a LOT of patience. You might get lucky on a few parts byut being basically GM into a FoMoCo I dont think you are going to have that much luck. Just do some research and plan it out well. HAve someone who can fabricate and you would be all set. Having said that - I dont think you re going to be nearly close enough cost wise to even have it make sence - the SAAB motors arent the greatest things out there for your time and money. Plan out other options as well as the saab transplant, you might find a more economical poweradder that fits your ideas and budget.
