I put a K&N on my SE and I noticed a huge difference. Throttle response was better and at, um, highway speeds the car simply breathed easier.

Course, that may be less the K&N then the sand and twigs I had to vaccum out of my airbox...

Thanks for the interesting discussions, but I am happy with the K&N setup and lets face it at normal speeds it is not a real help either way. Why wifes Subaru WRX is still faster I am afraid to say dosen't sound as nice though !!!

I, too, felt better throttle response w/ my K&N. Really, though, it's not the airbox that's restrictive, it's the filter size. KKM has SO much more filter area. That's why it makes more power than the K&N. Unless there's heat soak...

xselseeor - btw, welcome. what's your name mean?? Here's my advise - everyone who owns a KKM setup likes it (so I hear). you'll feel a difference in power, and you dont NEED to free up the exhaust, but I warn you, mods are addictive laugh laugh
