Hi all,
I just bought A brand new (to me at least) '98 SVT last night. I'll be picking it up next week after they run it through the shop (it was a trade in).
After returning home from the dealer, I saw the post about the new pricing on the Quaife. I thought to myself... "WOW! I want one!" (Quaife HLSD is standard on the other car I was thinking of getting.. the '02 Sentra Spec V).
My question is this - will installation of the Quaife void the extended warranty I'm buying on my car? Magnuson-Moss Act aside. If anything, you would think that a Quaife would "enhance" performance and reliability rather than put the car at risk.
Regards,
BB

After my brief reading on the subject it seems to me that if installed correctly you wouldn't have to worry about the warranty. It seems to be a no fail part being that it uses gears instead of plates. If you have it done you might as well upgrade everything else. Check and see if you can get Terry Haines to send you a bulldog kit.
Congrats on your SVT.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

BigBen: If the dealership can prove that the LSD caused the damage it will not be covered. Say you break a half-shaft or something. The Dealer will tell you that it was caused by the LSD. Might get sticky might not. If (but more like when) the tranny mount breaks it will be coming out of your pocket (most likely).
