a real 2 door conversion wont look anything like that chop

it will look the same with welded doors shut and shaved handles...I've seen it on a civic though and it looks pretty good.

that sucks about having to change windows though, what happens if one breaks after everything is welded and painted?

Here's an idea of how it would look.. quick chop job (I was bored!)

Large size version of same pic - click me!

Dont ever break that rear window! :-) Like don't ever want to change the bulbs in the switches, fix window track, etc...

It should still be changeable. You'd just have to do some slight modification to the interior panel so that the panel could come off from the inside, then you could swap out the window once you crawl in the back seat.

That was what I was thinking, thanks Kyo. Looks good IMHO.

Maybe just put lexan/plexiglass in...no need to change but expensive. Or rip out the panel and custom make 2. Which might not be hard for you guys who do custom audio installs.

Well you'd have to make the interior panel removable from the inside, 'cause Murphy's law would make it sure that your rear speakers blow up right after the last weld cooled down..

It doesn't look that bad after all.. but a longer front door would make it look better... Moving the B pillar must be a major PITA though...

Yep thats about how it would look...decent

but like its been already said, a longer door would make it like 100x better...although I dont think thats too possible.

With a longer front door, bad chop, tired and not that good at Photoshop after all!

Large version

i like the look of the first one. rear shaved. my 3l im planning will look like that but black so it shows less. a 2 door would be nice. but id say take a csvt and an escort and put the svt stuff in it. that would be easier

I stand corrected, it doesn't look all that bad. But unfortunately still brings up issues w/ back seat use & window repair...eh
