Hay guys its has been some time, here is what’s new.
My 96 is still DOA I am working on get a 3L or a rebuild 2.5 But it all comes down to the $green$, I have moved in to my new place in Tacoma with my bro. We have not got around to getting our Internet set up so I will still be in and out. Started managing at a new McDonalds, there’s a REAL good chance that I will be their new 1st asst., and that’s about it for me. I hope to have the car up and going in a month or so but I don’t know. Ok Peace for now

OK here is the short of it all. It started to leak oil from the pan and I did not catch it until it was to late. A rod went out and that was the end of her. Its down at the shop right now, going to get it rebuilt, with a 7yr/70k warranty. It should be ready for the trip to Canada if we are going on the 18th. For every thing said and done its going to cost 2,350. Not to bad for a car they guaranty will go 70k. I would do all the work myself but I need the car as soon as I can get it. Right now I am bumming rides to work and its starting to get old. I will try to keep you guys in the loop of whats going on but as of now thats all I know. OH, FYI I asked the shop how this might have happened and they asked if I had pushed the car hard just before it died, it died one week after the hw-20 run, I said um no. Peace

You never went over the speed limit, how could you have "pushed it hard"?
The temperature issue with your leaky water pump probably had more of an effect.

What I went over the speed limit, not by much, and two times I was doing over a hundred. The water leak was a pin hole in the lower hose.

That's just way too funny! I was just talking about those drunk people earlier today!
Yeah, it was a fun trip! Especially when Auiotour flew off to the side of the road, dust flying like a big dust storm, door flying open, him flying out of the door, then proceeding to fling open all the other doors, running around with his arms flailing in the air! He had a six-pack of soda on the floor behind the front seat and one of the cans exploded! I don't think he'll be making fun of my trunk organizers again!! (Hot day, hot soda cans, lots of back-and-forth motion=stirred up soda with nowhere to go but OUT.)
