This is more important than you think. Gear adds up so fast, it's mind-numbing. Get ready to spend $1000 or more after you've got everything you need to ride safe. Don't be a squid and ride without gear! You seem smarter than that.

The beginer MSF class should come with a loaner bike (about 250cc).

With your money and experience, buy a $900 bike this summer, ride it for a year, and then buy a better bike next season. Don't get any of the above mentioned bikes. It's not a "cheap hobby". It's a deep, high-risk, dangerous investment.
