Exactly. The FZ6 is barely any better to start on than the R6. It's more or less the exact same engine in the two bikes, just tuned slightly different. The FZ6 is more like a racing bike in street trim. Still not a good bike to start on.

If you're hell bent on buying a bike, don't be stupid and buy something new. Go check out all the moto forums and read about everything and anything. I got real big into buying a bike at the beginning of this summer. I started reading everything and realized I don't want to spend the money to fix a bike or my own body WHEN I feel. Not if I feel, but when. You will fall. So, if you're going to get a bike...buy something used. Keep it for the rest of the year then next year go for something new. By then you'll know more of what you want.
