ok guys I know Ive posted alot in the last couple of days but.
1 tride a 3inch fresh air duct with a filter on the end in the front bumper. caused some idle problems and although I didn't drive it I think it decraesed throttle response. will be trying again soon. worried about straw theory.

2 after much time and various prototypes and looking at other cars I think an inclosed airbox is best.m5 maclaren zo6 360 mugan s2000 nsx all use enclosed air boxes if you don't get the best possible intake on an m or a ferrari then what do you get! mugan even charges 2500 for a new carbon fiber  pretty airbox that moves the draw to in front of the radiator.

3 after playing with open intake designs and spending easily enough to buy a few intakes and the cfm #'s resently posted by demon the filter and the draw source are NOT the downfall of the svt intake. the lid is and if ya'll provide some feedback good bad what ever I will make a new lid with a larger draw tube and some desent clearence around the start of the filter.

I can honestly say the the in bumper filter sucked the air space in the fender is colder has no risk and doesn't suffer from a lack of throttle response the in bumper felt good when got going but had no bottom end power.

anything helpful smile
