I had that same thought.

The biggest issue then is getting them to fit in the small space provided or having to fabricate a new cable bracket. Room is tight so there is not much leeway.


Either that or just making up an entire set of custom cables and brackets. I bet that's what Mumm did.
When mine broke is was the stock cable itself that pulled apart. (it starts by breaking a few strands and then eventually just fails outright)
It was not the linkage or grommets that failed on mine.
