I'd rather have the revised and upgraded tranny parts then the rod linkage.
Though I'd be interested in having both too...

I had that same thought.
The biggest issue then is getting them to fit in the small space provided or having to fabricate a new cable bracket. Room is tight so there is not much leeway.
Either that or just making up an entire set of custom cables and brackets. I bet that's what Mumm did. When mine broke is was the stock cable itself that pulled apart. (it starts by breaking a few strands and then eventually just fails outright) It was not the linkage or grommets that failed on mine.
I don't recall him saying he had to make new brackets for the cables. When I saw his car he was telling me about those and all the other stuff they put rod ends on. I know its on the website for the car build.

If you beg and plead long enough, maybe Mumm will make some for you. How do you think I got my solid engine mounts? They took me three months for him to agree, then another two before he actually had time to make them... but I got 'em! He's made jigs for practically everything he's ever made to put on his car...

Robert is a awesome guy. I got to see his car a few years back when it was all in pieces getting rebuilt over winter. he lives about 15mins from me I was amazed at the quality of work and engineering that went into the car. The best part was the "spare" Mirko motor in the corner of the garage he was even nice enough to show me the brand new gear sets he had machined for his car. They weren't even removed from pasckaging yet. After hearing the stories about stripped gears etc etc I could understand the need for them.(that is why I consider the MTX75 a "glassbox")
I actually talked to him about tubular control arms. he said they weren't cheap but he mentioned they had modified some stockers with rod ends. I got many ideas from him from all the rod ends mods they did. I'll have to go visit him to see the new car Bnoon if I was going to keep this car around longer I would definately mod the cables.

Yeah, if I still had a Contour, I'd probably have rod ends too. They're just to cheap to not have...
BTW, nice times in that Cougar! You made several of the V8 cars there look like fools! You would have beat my TA had I ran it, that's for sure!!!
