I was flipping threw summit and saw a jet v-force adjustable computer for the 1996-2001 mercury mystique 2.5L could this work on the contour? are all 2.5L mystiques automatic because it has tramsmission shift adjustments. could it work if they downloaded our computer code?

Summit Paper catalog or website?

No, all Mystiques were not ATX.

What you are describing sounds like an entirely new PCM. (since each computer is code specific)or maybe just them stating they have coverage for those years.

It's very odd they only list mystique though...

Here's what they offer for a 97 mtx contour....

Performance Module: http://www.jetchip.com/domestic/module.cfm?id=1095

Air Fuel Monitor Kit: http://www.jetchip.com/domestic/airfuel.cfm?id=1095

They say the computer module gives 30hp ... think its better than a superchip?

I saw the same thing. I sent an e-mail to JET to see if it would work on my 98.5 SVT. Haven't gotten a response yet.

IIRC, the Jet V-force is similar to the Superchips flip chip module. Nothing more programable about it... I could be wrong and actually would be very happy to be wrong about this one... Time to search the web for V-force...

I saw the listing. It says it's a programmer the you can change the PCM values for timing and A/F ratio. They do not give any other info and it looks very basic...

May be worth more investigating. Supposedly it fits a bunch of different vehicles???

I had a jet chip for my T-bird. It sucked. Didn't do anything for power...shift points were firmer but that was accomplished by increasing line pressure, which actually hurt the transmission. Maybe their other stuff is good, but that thing was a complete wast of money for the t-bird.
