Yesterday me and Chris installed the new CTA Zetec Intake in my lovely Contour. It's pretty good. Looks good and and sounds great. It took me and Chris very little time to get it up and running.

I seem to have gained some power. A similar intake system was dynoed with a ZX2 Zetec engine and gave approx 5+ hp which is pretty good. I'm assuming I got the same.

Anyways, I love it. I think it's a very fair price for a the nice kit. It should be on the CTA site very soon. CTA Motor Sports

Is your car a 98 or a 98.5? I like the intake, how much? Which Zetec is that for...Contour, Focus, ZX2? Not on the site yet huh?? How'd you get it then.

Well, Chris from CTA motor Sports needed a Zetec to test and I live like 15 minutes away so we decided to give it a try. You would need to ask Chris for the details on the intake but I can still answer basic questions. The price is something around 178$ Canadian which is a real joke for you US Folks. I think it would be something like 110$ US + tax + shipping...

Thanks for the compliments. This was my first performance mod and I'm just so happy of it. I don't know if other intake produce a very lovely noise like this one but I know I would not trade the new sound for another one. I'll try to record it. My previous attempt failed but I'll try again.

I just emailed Chris about the intake so I'll give any info that he gives me. BTW-178 CDN is something like 150 US I believe. Maybe I won't be getting one real soon.

Just got a message from Chris...

'It's coming. We just have one issue with the filter. We had to stretch it
over the MAF, which is not a problem for us but some customer's will
definitely complain about the amount of work that would be required to make
it fit over the MAF.

Hold tight, it will be there shortly, If you do not have an issue with this
problem, we can make a kit for you. Otherwise, we are seeking a filter with
a slightly larger opening or one that is easier to stretch.

The kit will definitely retail the same as for the ZX2 intake.

One slight correction. The ZX2 we tested gained over 10hp and 8lbsft at the wheels. Although we did install an Accel coil and Magnecor wires, they may account for 2 hp if that. The intake caused the bulk of the gain.

We found a filter that is easier to stretch over the MAF. The kits will be available this week, once we get in our shipment of filters. We are taking orders already.
