I drove a 95 GL for two years before getting my first SVT. There are so many differences it's not even funny. The SVT feels, sounds, and drives like a totally different car. They even look a lot different.

what sigma said is moot point - its what the SVT looks like that to me indicates what I said - I dont think of an SVT and think of cloth seats - when I see that front end I automatically think of what I mentioned - I would never own a regular tour - hell - I dont even own a tour right now -

Not to burst your bubble, but your "SVT" is nothing more than a failed last ditch effort to save a dying model nameplate.
So in essence, while the Contour/Mystique ended up failures, the SVT was an even bigger failure.
