How about a non-turbo supra?
I had a ride in a turbo supra with a slushbox and i was not impressed. How slow are the na one's?????
Im curious you say your tour is stock but you have a nitrous gauge? in your a/pillar pod. Am i missing something here?

i myself have lost to a na z32. i owned two zs a 31 and a Z32 both turbo. i know the na can be built but the 1/4 times are close but the 0-60 times are about a half second off stock to stock. you have the advantage with the csvt. but i got smoked by a simple brakestand and i was spinning tires. so if you dont hook its over because even though the 0-60s are different the 1/4s are close meaning the na z32 is making up for lost time to keep that 15 thats shared by the csvt. a TT no way and dont let the auto tt make you think its slower they are actually faster because the computer is able to keep the turbos spooled between gears and alot of the manual drivers have a hard time keeping them spinning. i did when i first bought the car. the 300 is a slug off the line but if the race is highway i have to put my money on the z. more than a 1/4 im on the z too. but below the 1/4 ( maybe a short race) i would consider the contour. if it has any mods especially headers and intake they make a huge difference and i dont think youd have a chance. there are a lot of all motor zs running high 13s. look around www.z32racing.com. i think the race is iffy and depends on the driver.

i raced a 300zx with a stick, exhaust, intake and headers. i also have intake and exhaust. it was a close race but i won. dunno if thats typical but im guessing it is. they are damn heavy and dont produce an assload of horsepower like their twin turbo counter-parts do. twin turbo 300's will eat a stock csvt tho

Dallasb84 & Dopepope: Please read before you post.. If you noticed in HIS thread he said the 300zx is a STOCK AUTOMATIC.. Don't ramble on about how the turbo ZX's do this and how modded N/A 300zx's do that.. That's great you have knowledge about them but the question was asked if he could take down a bone stock N/A automatic 300zx.. The answer remains the same, you SHOULD have no problem handing him his own ass if you are even a moderately descent driver.

I raced one and did not have a problem at all. Beat him by 3 or 4 car lengths.

Y2kSVT: point taken, however if the 5 spd is faster, and we can take them with mods, then obviously an auto wont be any problem. And I don't really see a problem with adding some extra info, but I guess we can keep every convo in here cut and dry keeping strictly to topic only.

Not my point.. My point was that SVTContourSVT asked if he could take this automatic N/A 300ZX.. People seem not to read anything the original poster said and start off rambling on about "if it's the Turbo, or if it's a 5 speed, or if it had 5000HP then" when it doesn't need to go there.. Stick to the topic and if you want to start a new thread about an SVT vs. Turbo/Nitrous/5spd 850HP 9second 1/4 mile 300ZX then by all means.. It just gets way too conjested trying to read all these posts that have NOTHING to do with the original topic

If I put a 03 Cobra motor and a T56 with a solid axle in my Contour I think I could take a 300ZXTT.
