Hi,
I just picked up a 2000 Focus exhaust manifold from my local junkyard. Do you think that it would make a decent turbo manifold?

For $75 I figure it was worth a shot. The pipes are on the small side. I am thinking of cutting off the CAT flange and putting the turbo flange on there. Either that of making a 1-2 inch adapter.

The stainless ones that I've been looking at are in the $250 range. (And they still need to be modified.)

If you guys think that its crap, I can just return it.

Small tubes should help the turbo spool up faster. I'm far from an expert, though.

if I was making a budget turbo setup thats what I'd use...I also believe there is a turbo that bolts directly to that manifold but I can't think of the name at the moment.

awesome looks like a true money saver. id slice the stud holes to allow for expansion. i think it will work great good find.

I know of some turbo kits that utilize the Focus header....nice find.

Ben I got the welder yesterday and i still have to set it up and start playing with it That header looks good to me. It sure beats a log style manifold. if anything it would make for an excellent jig for a custom SS turbo manifold

you spent 75 bucks on that??? umm those can be had for 15 or so, you way over spent, take it back if you can and browse the foci boards.

The tubes look to be equal length, it sure as hell looks like it would work. nice find.

question is, will there be enough room to mount a turbo between head/block and radiator once the mani is bolted up. easy as pie to weld new flange on, just make sure there is room for the turbo before you waste the time and money
