While my car's in the shop and I'm stuck at home I've been browsing around looking at future upgrades for my car.

I came across this little gem while comparing a lot of the after market intake systems and this one seemed to be nice to me. I was unable to find anyone who has this entire system installed, most people seem to go with Batinc's, SHOShop, or KKM.

It was made for the V6 Cougar and seems to be compatible with non-SVT V6 Contiques. I guess it's due to the IAT placement or the extra hose or whatever.

I realize that with the heatshield could be less than ideal if hot air can still get around it. But generally I think it would look pretty nice as it's an entire assembly that can be dropped in (gotta use the stock MAF though).

Anyways just something I found and something I never saw mentioned here so just thought I'd bring it up.

It's very expensive for what you're getting: A hot-air ingestion device. You can duplicate the performance gain (loss?) for far less by glomming together your own parts. It's not hard.

This has come up before, and that seemed to be the general consensus.

You can easily put an intake together using parts that are available on the net. To make sure you're netting real improvements in air flow, keep the MAF adapter and filter neck to at least 3" ID. Your duratec can use the air if you can make it available, especially in the upper RPMs. Some of the cheaper 'universal' parts out there are 3" OD.

Hey Jason, so how much power do you think you made from that set-up you have over the stock one? Im thinking of doing exactly what you did.
