I got a jewel of a BMW to go with my Contour. The Bimmer has been relatively reliable. The only un-expected expense has been a rusty exhaust system, fuel pump, & a water pump. Everything else has been maintenance, or the little quirks that come with the car - i.e. window switches, idle control.
I need some control arms, but that was my fault. 
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
