Welcome Walt. Alex is right you can't tell from the outside.
Unless your car came from a CEG'er it likely doesn't have the metal impeller pump. Shops usually just replace with OEM or equivalent.
Concensus here seems to be that the failure rate of the originals get quite high at around 60,000 miles and above.
