I hooked my car upto a Snap On scanner the other day.
When the engine coolant temp was 100C and the fans came on, the temp gauge was at the R.
When the fans turned off at 93C the gauge was at the left side of O.
Just like the service CD said 100C fans on, 93C fans off.
