I was replying in reference to this statement:

Anybody that knows anything about Chrysler vehicles knows that they will turn you into an electrician if you weren't already one.

the neon platform is actually pretty good, most people don't have to many problems with it. good car. just ugly unless you have the newer style car, that looks like your driving a old musle car lol. that car needs a 3 drop in front and like an 8 in the rear. how ugly, the rest of the car is sweet. I owned the exact same car before I got this one, except it was my first car, not my second. The only think I ever put on it was shocks and springs for the back. Hell of alot cheaper than what I drive now. I miss it.

^^^ I had alot of dreams for mine, haha.. Always wanted to drop a 2.5 Turbo engine in it! never happened tough!

but yeah the sucker was reliable as hell, even with the common head gasket issues.. first time it blew I through on a special felpro one? I think if I recall exacly.. but after that it lasted me forever and took a damn good beating, even with a crappy clutch!

I had a 96 neon and yes I am now very good at OBDII diagnostics (aka the electrician part). Mine broke things like axles and trannys and of coarse I blew up my SOHC motor installed a DOHC blew it up and rebuilt it. Of coarse all of this stuff blew up with my turbo setup (the first one I ever built or tuned). The problem with most chrysler stuff is not the engineering but the materials used to make the engineered parts. Just cheap stuff, although I would love to have a cummins. The minivans are excellent for the price, but I would avoid their cars, I have seen several 2000 intrepids with bad motors at auctions.
