Yep, guys its been a very long while since I posted here. Ive been going to school all summer and working right afterwards so had no time to myself. I must say that sadly I am joining the troll world. I no longer own a mercury mystique. Yes, she was totalled. It happened on a chicago intersection at narragansett and addison. I was going southbound on narragansett and i stopped at the light on the intersection. My light turned green and as I started going, right in the middle of the intersection I got sideswiped by a 1990 acura legend on the driver's side. The guy blew his red light. My door was completely smashed in as was my fender, the wheel pushed in, and my strut tower bent. Car didnt want to start, and she leaked some oil as a cry for her final goodbye. When I got hit I bumped my head (temple) off of the side pillar which almost blacked me out and for a few days ive had a stiff neck and a bruise on my head. Other than that ill be fine.

Ya' know, after all this bashing on my car about how much I hate it and how I wanted something else, after allll of that, when I found out she was totaled I was heartbroken. I honestly miss that troublesome car. It was the car I learned how to drive in, the car that i learned how to work on, the car I got my liscence in, the car that got me home safe everytime I chose to be an idiot and drink, abd the car that smoked all those little ricers everytime. I am realizing that this car defined my whole life, because I really depended on it. Yes she was ugly, and yes she needed a paint job pretty bad, but for some reason I really loved it. The day I went to the bodyshop to get my system out (which took a while to do) and the rest of my personal items, i sat in her one last time and smoked a cigarette in her for old times sake. Guys cherish your cars, you really wont realize what it is until it's gone. After that final goodbye I did feel better and I am ready to move on, but this time its going to be an import.

I just wanted to thank all of you for the greatest help I could ever ask for. 2 years ago before I found CEG, I knew nothing about cars, and now I know my mystique inside and out. Now itll be something new going to a different car that I know nothing about. Atleast ill start off with a descent amount of knowledge with how to repair the car and modify the performance. I apologize to the people that had to read my sob story and dont feel it, I just thought i'd let it out to some people who would understand at this site.

So here are my choices:
Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (turbo awd)
Acura Integra
1998 Toyota Celica
Acura CL or TL
BMW M3

Whichever it is, it has to be black w/ an MTX tranny for sure. I have a few months left to decide because I need to save up a little bit more for my down-payment. My original plan was to buy one of these in spring of '05.

So take care guys, ill still post once in a while, and ill still attend some meets. ...and now I enter the land of the troll.

Umm yeah thats what I was thinking... Guess it depends on the year of the M3 compared to the others. It would have to be alot older to be in the same price range as his other options... -Nick

mmmm...M3....

well, if you're going to want to be doing a buch of tuning yourself, I'd say the eclipse, but you'll be joining the ranks of ricers if you're not careful. The M3, from what I know is fast anyway...I just drove my friend's dad's M5...wow. But good luck and I'm sorry for your loss.

No matter what, M3's are going to be pricey. Yes I like M3's better than eclipses, but which of the 2 are cheaper to work on????? My friend has a 97 M3 for sale.......
