Im reading posts on how 0-60times really would not matter, and the 1/4 times for a S/C is pointless, and thats a SVT GoKart is a X-Cross car, and thats it. Truthfully let me ask this.....would you WANT! a great 0-60 time car for AUTOCROSS! When do you actually need any high end power on a X-Track? Ive been on one track in my life (AutoCross), and I never onced hit a highend gear, It was all shifiting at low RPMS, so.....how can you people say 0-60 time for this car is pointless, unless your autocross tracks are hitting the 143mph mark. My other .2 is a 4-lugged 16 inch rim....pshh yea thats an Autocross car if ive heard of one....just admit SVT jipped us on this 23,000$$ car.

Is there any point to this rambling? Tell ya what, come out to Gingerman on a Thursday night and put your NA 2.5L up against my SC. as for 0-60... how about 0-40 which is similar to an Auto X... The SC SVT will still go from 0-40 quicker then a N/A SVT which will help with overall times. -Mark

if you feel ripped off why you pay so much for a new one. be like me and buy one less then a year old for 14,000 you got to remeber these cars to not hold resale. you should of just waited a year, and found a program car
all i need now is a lot of throttle and a whole lot of bottle
i wish i was a NitroFish

Jay, I really don't understand why you are so bitter.
As to low revs in auto-X, I think you may be shifting too early or something; I keep my revs up there pretty good through any auto-x courses I've been on.
It's all about balance.

Keeping it in low revs???
Boy you had better learn how to drive...
Get a slush box or something and drive a pushrod motor...
In any type of racing you want to get the engine on cam (read above 4k) and stay there all the time...
The more you are in the sweet spot of the power band the faster you will be.
A S/C makes boost in EVERY gear. Not just 4th and 5th silly... That comment about it not helping except for high speeds is very uneducated and foolish...
And then the ignorant comment of the 4-lug hub and rim... Sheesh... Not going to touch that (500HP mustang never broke em huh)
{rant on} I concur with the group.
If you do truelly own an SVT. Sell it. You definitely DO NOT know how to drive it so you had might as well let someone who will, do so... :rolleyes:
Then buy yourself an automatic, pushrod relic and go to the library and read up on these topics for a while. Then maybe next time you won't come across as such an idiot??? {/rant off}
